A regional edition cigar becoming so popular that it has been relaunched exclusively for La Casa del Habano!
The Bolívar Libertador (LCDH) (re)appeared on the market in 2013 with the particularity of being distributed exclusively in the franchise network of Habanos S.A: La Casa del Habano. This network comprises today more than 140 "Casas" all over the world. The first one was inaugurated in 1990 in Cancún, Mexico. La Casa del Habano distributes exclusively Habanos S.A. products. Cigars and cigarillos as well as accessories can be found here. Some specialties, like the Bolívar Libertador are only produced by Habanos S.A for these "Casas". These are famous editions "LCDH" recognizable by their double rings.
However, originally, the destiny of Bolívar Libertador was quite different. Actually, it appeared for the first time on the French market in 2006 integrating the program of regional editions. Once launched, Bolívar Libertador Edición Regional Francia gained immediate success. The demand was so high and the cigar quality so impressive that Habanos decided to relaunch it in 2013, thus making it an exclusivity for La Casa del Habano.
The Bolívar Libertador was unsurprisingly named after the nickname given to the Venezuelan general and statesman, Simón Bolívar: "El Libertador". The module is a Sublimes (54 x 164 mm), more commonly known as Double Robusto. Its important size offers about an hour and a half of rich flavors that we will try to share with you.
On the nose, there appear delicate notes of citrus and leather. We also notice some aromas of grapes with a dominant tobacco note. When lighted, the aromatic bouquet is different and offers creamy and earthy notes and a delicious blend of caramel and chocolate. The second third then leads us to cedar and spices. The creamy touch persists thus making the tasting even more delicious. The finish gets stronger in taste with prevailing cedar and spices. Notes of roasted coffee and leather are also present.
It is an exceptional cigar, with a rare complexity and balance. The smoke it releases is incredibly creamy and thick. This vitola is well-made and offers a regular combustion.
In conclusion, the Libertador (LCDH) honors Bolívar’s reputation, which is considered as one of the Habanos brands with the strongest taste.
