Club Secret Purists
A knife, a cigar cutter and a cigar stand.
Behind the brand Club Secret Purists, first of all, there is a man - Paul Benedetti. In his forties, this aficionado decided to change his life after having worked 25 years as a business manager in IT industry. Passionate about the cigar, he chose to launch his own brand of accessories.
An occasional smoker, "a cigar taster" as he likes to describe himself, he then integrated a cigar club in order to discover more about this “guilty pleasure”. It allowed him to meet amateurs who taught him a lot about the world of cigar.
After that, during five years he travelled across Europe and all over the world in order to meet collectors, amateurs, clubs and cigar shops. Thanks to this experience, the dream of creating his own cigar accessories brand took shape: Club Secret Purists was born. There already existed a large of choice of accessories for cigars. However, he sought to modernize them in order to reach customers in pursuit of originality and excellence.
Next, he built up a team to make first prototypes. A designer, a cutler, a saddler and other artisans worked for two years to create "a knife-cigar cutter-cigar stand". This last function does not exist coupled with any another accessory. The finished product is innovative and brings a modern and original touch.
Entirely made in France by the best French craftsmen, this knife, cigar cutter and cigar stand is equipped with a blade measuring 7.2 cm only, meeting European legislation requirements on blades. Therefore it is possible to carry it in public. For the same reasons the miter cannot be opened at the same time with the blade to avoid being considered as a dagger.
There exist three different product categories regarding the materials used for the blade and the handle. Actually, the blade is available in Mox steel, a specially developed robust steel, or in Damascus steel (Swedish industrial manufacture). The latter can boast from 60 up to 90 folds (according to each model). Its folds and forge are made industrially, whereas all the details are finalized manually piece by piece.
As for the handle, there are several materials to choose from: stabilized wood, natural wood, giraffe, camel or mammoth bone, mammoth ivory, carbon fiber, Damascus carbon or abalone. All these materials are approved by European legislation, and are subject to legal protections, patents, customs authorizations or certificates of authenticity.
