A great return of Maravillas No.3 for the Chinese New Year!

The Chinese New Year of 2020 falls on January 25th, beginning the year of the Rat. As for the two previous years, Habanos SA pays its tribute to the holiday launching a special limited edition cigar. It takes over the previous editions of Cohiba Robusto Año Del Cerdo from 2019 and of Cohiba Mágicos and Secretos Maduro 5 Año del Perro from 2018.

This new edition is released by Pacific Cigar Co. and Infifon HK Ltd., the distributors of Habanos S.A in Asia. The cigars come in a special box, covered with a red lacquer. There is also an engraving of a rat in a golden colour on the box. The latter can be found on the second cigar band.

The vitola chosen by Romeo y Julieta for this limited edition is Maravillas No.3. This cigar size was created in 2012 for Montecristo 520 Edición Limitada, and when it was released, it received a very warm welcome from aficionados all around the world.

Each box contains 8 Habanos that were rolled "Totalmente a Mano with Tripa Larga" from carefully selected wrapper, binder and filler leaves, coming from the region of Vuelta Abajo. The blend is balanced and offers the brand's classic aromatic bouquet with average strength.

During the tasting, despite its young age, the Maravillas 8 offers beautiful woody notes. Its excellent construction allows a perfect draw with a rich smoke and some touches of wood that stay on the palate.

For the first time Habanos surprises us by delivering an early limited edition. Would this new cycle of the Chinese zodiac be an opportunity to launch a new series of Romeo y Julieta as the homage to Chinese New Year? The answer will not be revealed until 2021...
