When we discuss watchmaking, we naturally think of Switzerland. Indeed, the Swiss Confederation has shone in the world of timepieces for more than three centuries now. To create these unique creations, we went to Viñales in the province of Pinar del Río to harvest tobacco leaves by hand so that the craftsmen at Artya could place them at the heart of the watch, on the dial. After extensive testing, Yvan Arpa, founder and owner of the brand, says "the Tobacco will age as well as the timeless passion of its owner!"
Like the vast majority of Swiss watches, these pieces are powered by a self-winding caliber, which is wound by a mechanism that allows the barrel spring to be reset while the watch is being worn. Thus, the movements of the arm wind the mainspring by means of an oscillating weight rotating freely on its axis.
