The history of wine dates back to more than six millennia, it is the result of an infinite amount of knowledge, pleasure, experience and innovation. Our way of consuming has evolved and has made wine lovers more and more curious. To answer this curiosity and allow us to preserve good bottles, the limits of technology are pushed further and further.

By regularly visiting the vineyards and wine cellars of France, Sébastien and Laurent, two great oenophiles, entrepreneurs but above all, friends, identified a problem that is just as recurrent for wine lovers as for winemakers: the difficulty of preserving wine, which once opened, loses its quality and its aromas and is wasted. In fact, to satisfy a desire to consume less and better, it is necessary to adopt solutions that facilitate the principle of wine by the glass.
To bring original and modern solutions to this universal concern, the two friends worked on the development of a wine conservation system and a unique distribution "by the glass" concept. The innovation from Bordeaux, Wikeeps, then appeared in 2012.
In the past years, the creation of a gas based on Argon and CO2 led to the emergence of a new range of accessories allowing to keep wine fresh for longer. In this way, a partnership between Wikeeps and the world leader in oenological gases Linde was born, to develop a totally natural, neutral and inert gas.
The concept is the following: thanks to a capsule inserted on the bottle and a spout allowing to draw the wine from the bottom, after each pouring, the gas will be injected in the bottle. It will create a protective and neutral atmosphere for the wine inside, preventing it from deteriorating and oxidizing. This gas fulfills all requirements in terms of food quality. A nozzle containing the Wikeeps gas cartridge is attached to the capsule which, when pressed, serves the wine. Each capsule can serve up to 18 glasses of wine.
Protected from contact with the air, your Grand Cru can now be preserved up to 4 weeks after opening! This is an innovative system that encourages wine lovers to choose original wines but also to serve them in a more modern way.
The objective for Wikeeps is to allow wine lovers to keep their beverages longer, while benefiting from accessories recognized and acclaimed by professionals, even at home. It is a creation that is also used by the greatest wineries and winemakers around the world, whose system was patented at the Patent Office of the INPI in 2012.
It was awarded with the “Grand Prix de l'Oenovation” the same year, that helped to establish itself in many renowned companies throughout France, but also internationally.
Dedicated to still wines, the Prestige box includes all the Wikeeps items and allows to serve 2 bottles simultaneously. Inside, a pistol noze for service, 2 Elite domes, 2 spouts for wine dispensing, a filter, a Magnum extension, 2 lots of closing caps and a cleaning brush are arranged in a jewel box-like case protected by black velvet.
