A collaboration to celebrate two important anniversaries in the cigar world.
Since 1872, S.T. Dupont has forged its reputation by creating luxury accessories for aficionados as well as for high-end object enthusiasts. This long tradition originates from Simon Tissot Dupont, the founder of the company, whose ambition was to give each of his creations an exceptional, exclusive and unique character. Considered an international reference in terms of flavors and cigars, Montecristo is one of the most appreciated Habanos brands among aficionados. Its name is taken from the French novel "The Count of Montecristo", written by Alexandre Dumas, which was a popular reading within different factories and torcedors.
In addition, 2022 marked the 150th anniversary of the creation of S.T. Dupont by Simon Tissot Dupont and the 220th anniversary of the birth of Alexandre Dumas. As a tribute to these two important events, the two brands have joined forces to create a range of accessories dedicated to cigar enthusiasts. The range is divided into three parts, each named after the different stages of the night.
The first to be launched was the S.T. Dupont Montecristo "Le Crépuscule" collection. Inspired by the "Count of Montecristo", Edmond Dantes, the accessories in this collection are characterized by a color gradient reminiscent of flames. This design evokes the moment when everything ignites.
Let's move on to the one that will interest us in this edition of the Grauer Journal: the S.T. Dupont Montecristo "La Nuit" collection. It refers to the difficulties encountered by the protagonist, and then to his redemption.
And finally, the S.T. Dupont Montecristo "L'Aurore", whose release is expected and whose accessories will symbolize the ending and the outcome of the victory in the "Count of Montecristo".
To return to the "La Nuit" collection, it includes a first lighter, a Grand S.T. Dupont, with an innovative dual ignition system. A soft flame allows to evenly heat the foot of the cigar, accompanied by a torch flame ideal for a perfect circle lighting.

The Montecristo La Nuit collection also offers a cigar cutter and a cigar case of 3 units. All the elements of the line are colored by the S.T. Dupont natural lacquer, with a mysterious color variation from yellow to dark blue, representing moonlight in a dark night sky. The prestigious Montecristo logo is stamped on the surface of the accessories, accompanied by a silver sun and moon motif. Each creation is handcrafted by six artisans, each of whom has mastered their own art.
