Ashton is recognised as one of the most respected premium cigar brands in the world. Ashton cigars are carefully handcrafted in the renowned Tabacalera A. Fuente factory in the Dominican Republic from the finest aged tobaccos. For over thirty years, Ashton has been one of the top three cigar brands in the United States and is distributed in more than 60 countries.

Brand founder Robert Levin launched Ashton in the early 1980s. With a solid reputation in the cigar industry, Mr Levin grew up working in his father's historic cigar shop, Holt's Cigar Company, in Philadelphia in the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1970s, he took over the family business and successfully expanded into retail and mail order. After steady growth, Levin decided to realise his ambition by creating his own brand of cigars.

In 1985, Levin launched Ashton and quickly partnered with the Fuente family to produce the brand, attracted by their talent, dedication and unwavering passion for premium tobaccos. Carlos Fuente Sr. and his son, Carlito Fuente, have a long tradition of making quality cigars going back several generations.

The Fuente family has always maintained strict standards of taste, construction and consistency, which has appealed to cigar lovers for over a century. Their ability to accommodate and integrate Ashton's production while maintaining an exceptional level of quality was undeniable.

Levin succeeded in expanding Ashton's portfolio by responding to the changing tastes of cigar lovers. He introduced several blends that have become iconic, such as the original Ashton Classic, Ashton Aged Maduro, Ashton Cabinet, Ashton VSG (Virgin Sun Grown), Ashton ESG (Estate Sun Grown), and many others. This approach has enabled the company to remain true to the founding principles of the brand, while continuing to focus on quality, sustainability and tradition. It's a formula that is still respected today.
