The award-winning Padrón 1926 series was launched in 2002 to celebrate José Orlando's 76th birthday, a year later than planned. In keeping with their tradition, this selection of ten different cigar sizes is presented in a box-pressed format, offering an elegant and practical presentation.
Each cigar in the Padrón 1926 series is individually handmade, using carefully selected tobaccos and aged for five years. This allows the flavours to develop fully, creating an exceptionally smooth, complex, balanced and full-bodied taste experience.
To ensure the authenticity and protection of each cigar, a double band with an individually numbered guaranteed label is applied to each one. This prevents counterfeiting and guarantees cigar lovers the assurance of an authentic, top-quality product.
The Padrón 1926 series also offers a choice of two wrappers: the natural wrapper and the sun-grown maduro wrapper.
Let's look at No.9 in the series, voted Cigar of the Year in 2007 by Cigar Aficionados.
According to them, this cigar is the most refined in the range, bursting with flavour from the very first puff. It is a complex and perfectly balanced cigar, revealing flavours of chocolate, coffee and nuts, as well as a hint of black cherry. The cigar has such a long finish that it never seems to leave the palate. The 97 points awarded to this cigar are the highest that Cigar Aficionados have awarded to a recently produced cigar for many years.
