The Grauer Display Humidor – Ebony & Leather is a
museum-quality collector's humidor, entirely handcrafted by
Christos Karnabakos, the master Greek cabinetmaker behind
the iconic walk-in humidor and Lockers Room at House of Grauer.
Produced as an exclusive edition of only
16 individually numbered pieces, each humidor is far more
than a storage cabinet. It is a functional work of art created for
collectors who consider cigars not simply as objects of enjoyment, but as
treasures worthy of preservation, display and legacy.
Crafted entirely from solid ebony, the cabinet possesses
a striking architectural presence. The naturally dark timber, prized for
its remarkable density and luxurious grain, is enhanced by intricate
hand-executed marquetry inspired by traditional European cabinetmaking.
Every surface is shaped, assembled and finished by hand, resulting in a
collector's piece whose beauty lies equally in its craftsmanship and its
rarity.
The upper section features a generous
glass display top, allowing prized cigars and boxes to
be admired while remaining perfectly protected.
Two discreet solid silver signature plates, each
measuring 1 × 1 cm, are embedded into opposite corners of the glass,
bearing the engraved signature of the artist as a subtle mark of
authenticity.
The cabinet is fitted with
hermetically sealed sliding doors featuring a concealed
magnetic closing system that combines effortless operation with
exceptional airtight performance.
Inside, the humidor comfortably accommodates approximately
2,000 cigars, including both loose cigars and full
boxes, depending on their format and arrangement.
Humidity is maintained by a
Swiss-made Boneco ultrasonic humidifier, providing
precise and reliable climate control suitable for long-term preservation
of premium cigars.
The system is discreetly integrated into the cabinet, ensuring technical
excellence without compromising the aesthetics of the piece.
Selected elements are upholstered in
hand-sewn Connolly leather, renowned for furnishing
some of the world's finest luxury automobiles and interiors.
Ebony, leather, glass and silver combine to create a harmonious balance
of noble materials and timeless craftsmanship.
Every humidor is accompanied by an
exclusive wooden certificate, individually signed by
Christos Karnabakos, confirming its handmade origin and limited-edition
