Arturo Fuente God of Fire by Carlito

Arturo Fuente, one of the most renowned tobacco producers in the world, offers a new edition to its prestigious series called "God of Fire". Born in 2004, it is the result of a partnership between Arturo Fuente Cigars and the brand Prometheus. Indeed, the latter, initially specialized in the design of high-end lighters, was in charge of the creation of a humidor for Fuente Fuente OpusX.

The God of Fire by Carlito series is now enriched with a new 2019 edition, whose tobacco is aged for several years before being carefully rolled by the most qualified torcedors. Although handmade with aged tobacco, the cigars, once finished, are placed in an aging room for another two to three years before being launched, which explains their arrival on the market in 2023. This extremely limited series is available in two versions, one designed by Carlos Fuente and the one we are interested in today, developed by his son, Carlito Fuente.

During a dinner between Carlito Fuente and Keith K. Park, the founder of Prometheus, in the Dominican Republic in 2003, the latter expressed his dream of creating a line of cigars to complement his range of accessories for aficionados. Carlito not only agreed to collaborate with him, but also helped him launch his cigar brand. The two friends decided to name it "God of Fire", in reference to the Greek god Prometheus who stole the lightning bolt from Zeus to give it to humans.

If the cigars are described as medium strength, the blend "by Carlito" is more intense than the one whose blend is defined by his father. One of the main differences is in the wrapper of the cigar: that of the God of Fire by Don Carlos is Ecuadorian while that of the God of Fire by Carlito is Cameroonian.

This rare and exclusive range is composed by 6 different vitolas: Double Robusto (52 x 152 mm), Double Robusto Tubos (52 x 152 mm), Churchill (48 x 178 mm), Piramide (52 x 137 mm), Double Corona (50 x 165 mm) and Diademas 56 (56 x 146 mm).

These vitolas are undoubtedly the most surprising of Arturo Fuente's brand. Handcrafted from an exclusive blend, the Dominican filler blends perfectly with the binder of the same origin.

To return to the Cameroonian wrapper, it delivers a powerful, full-bodied and spicy smoke, reminding of pepper. The creamy flavors that emanate from this collection are accompanied by earthy notes, which form a complex and very sophisticated balance.

The cigars are arranged in a beautiful, distinctive scarlet box, illustrated by the painting "Prometheus Bound", representing the scene of Zeus' lightning thief, tied to a rock and attacked by an eagle. At its opening, a beautiful black velvet reveals the vitolas.

Decorated with a main ring interpreting the dramatic fate of "Prometheus" and a second ring indicating the year of the blend and of the production, each cigar has received special attention to detail.
