A special edition for the Chinese New Year.
Cohiba, renowned globally for its excellence in cigars, marks the Chinese New Year with a prestigious release. To commemorate the Year of the Dragon in 2024, Cohiba unveils a cedar wood humidor housing 88 Short cigars, meticulously crafted to maintain their pristine condition. This follows last year’s release for the Cohiba Short, which was dedicated to the Year of the Rabbit.
In Chinese mythology, the dragon embodies power, fascination, and good fortune. Cohiba pays homage to this cultural icon with a specially designed cedar wood humidor containing 88 Short cigars. The humidor features an elegant lacquered finish that accentuates the Cohiba logo alongside the iconic dragon symbol, symbolizing strength, charisma, and luck.
The Cohiba Short combines the length of a Cuban Mini with the width of a Puritos, offering a unique smoking experience. Machine-made in Cuba using tobaccos reserved for Habanos, each cigar measures 83 mm in length with a ring gauge of 27. Individually wrapped in cellophane, they are meticulously protected to preserve their condition and enhance their freshness.
This exclusive release is limited to 21,888 numbered units worldwide. Among them, 28 special humidors are adorned with a 24-carat gold-plated metal plate depicting the dragon holding a pearl, symbolizing purity and protection. Inside, each cigar is further distinguished by a hand-placed gold and black band at its foot. One of these special humidors recently joined our museum collection, won through a social media contest organized by Intertabak, the official Habanos importer in Switzerland.
