Davidoff presents us with a new limited edition, composed of six different tobaccos, pushing the boundaries and limits. This quest for new sensations began 15 years ago, in 2005, when Davidoff first introduced Robusto Intenso to the market. Made from tobacco aged for seven years, this limited edition comes in a magnificent Robusto format (52 x 133 mm). The six stars symbolise the six different tobaccos used by Davidoff's master blenders to create this unique and harmonious vitola.
They have once again taken up the challenge of creating a taste experience that is both intense and complex, but also exhilarating and sweet. To achieve this, they succeeded in masterfully blending tobaccos from five different regions of the Dominican Republic with an Ecuadorian wrapper. The result is Robusto Intenso.
The first star is the filler tobacco from Cuban seeds grown in the rich soil north of Santo Domingo, which adds spice and intensity. The second star is Piloto filler tobacco, an exclusive part of the Valle del Yaque, which gives depth to the aroma. The third star is the San Vincente Mejorado filler tobacco from Santiago Rodriguez, which adds complexity. The fourth star is Hybrid 254 filler tobacco from Jicomé, which stimulates the sweet and sour taste buds. The fifth star is the San Vicente binder, which adds another dimension of sweetness. Finally, the last star is the Ecuadorian wrapper leaf, grown in small quantities, exclusively for Davidoff, encircling the whole with a singular spiciness.
Davidoff has tapped into his tobacco reserves to unveil a real taste sensation. Ageing the tobaccos for up to seven years results in a deep complexity, balanced intensity and sophisticated taste journey, making this cigar an unparalleled experience. It has intense aromas of nuts, dark chocolate and pepper.
The production of the Robusto Intenso is limited to 10,100 boxes of 10 units. The cigars are presented in a magnificent wooden box. The top of each box is stamped with the 6 stars symbolising the blend that creates the Robusto Intenso.
