On February 5th, for the occasion of Chinese New Year, China will begin the year of the Pig. Thus, Davidoff celebrates this event, as every year for seven years, with an exclusive limited edition cigar. This elegant red box of Asian inspiration is produced with just 9'300 copies. It contains ten Gran Toro dressed in a shiny and bold Habano Ecuador wrapper whose blend is made from a mixture of tobacco leaves from several regions such as the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
Upon ignition, the atmosphere in the room will become sweet and happy. The latter will not only be good for your spirit, it can also be good for your fortune. Indeed, for the Chinese, the pig is associated with luck and wealth.
The beginning of the tasting will be creamy and punctuated by notes of pepper and oak. This creamy texture of the mixture is provided by the Dominican leaves, generously aged. Then the second third will offer you intense roasted notes, leather aromas and hints of spice. Finally, in the last third, leather, and pepper, more dominant, will be accompanied by aromas of oak, which adds complexity to these beautiful cigars.
