Hoyo de Monterrey Souvenir de Luxe - Línea Retro

Announced at the end of 2017 by Habanos S.A, the Línea Retro is getting a fourth cigar: the Hoyo de Monterrey Souvenir de Luxe. It joins the H. Upmann Regalías, Romeo y Julieta Club Kings and Partagás Capitols. The Línea Retro is expected to welcome more cigars from other brands in the Habanos portfolio in the future.

The Souvenir de Luxe has been a part of the premium standard catalog of Hoyo de Monterrey for a long time. Its introduction predates 1960. However, before being hand-rolled in the traditional "Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga" method, it was machine-made until 1980. Announced in 2019, this reissue appeared in the tobacco market in 2023.

Carefully arranged in an aluminium case with a "retro" look, inspired by the original pocket cigar holders that were popular in the 1970s, the Souvenir de Luxe are, like the H. Upmann Regalías, Romeo y Julieta Club Kings and Partagás Capitols, Petit Coronas (42 x 129 mm). A vitola which is still widely used by Habanos brands. In fact, when announcing the launch of the Línea Retro, Habanos S.A. said that this format was "probably the most popular format in the history of Habanos”.

Thanks to Línea Retro, Hoyo de Monterrey offers a new packaging for its Souvenir de Luxe, which is currently available in boxes of 50 cigars, divided into 10 aluminum cases containing 5 vitolas.
