Punch Short de Punch
A new vitola has been added to the catalog of one of the oldest brands of Habanos!
Presented for the first time at the 21st Habano Festival, the Short de Punch was officially launched worldwide in Switzerland during an evening in which we had the chance to participate.
The event took place on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Hotel Storchen, in the heart of Zurich's Old Town. Immersed in the glamorous atmosphere of the 19th century, the time when the satirical magazine "Punch" flourished, we were among the first to enjoy Punch's new vitola, the Short de Punch!
This new cigar is the first with a 50 ring gauge to integrate the brand’s catalog. Indeed, Punch has been manufacturing cigars for a very long time, but so far the brand has never had a 50 ring gauge vitola in its regular production portfolio. The Short de Punch fits well in the new trend of "Short Smokes", vitolas that are more and more appreciated by aficionados as they offer a complex aromatic profile for a relatively short tasting time.
The vitola is a "Paraíso" (50 x 120 mm). It is placed between the Petit Robusto (50 x 102 mm) and the Robusto (50 x 124 mm). This vitola is also a first one for Habanos. Indeed, this format is currently not found in any other catalog of Habanos brands.
The Short de Punch will be presented in uncoated wooden boxes (called SBN for Semi Box Nature) of 10 cigars.
Like all Punch vitolas, the Short de Punch is made "Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga" with tobacco leaves from Vuelta Abajo.
