The Netherlands welcomes its 7th regional edition to this day: the Ramón Allones 40 Carat. It succeeds the La Flor de Cano Robusto, released in 2018.
The vitola chosen by Ramón Allones for this new regional edition is a 109 (50 x 184 mm). A vitola that is not actually new to the brand, as it was included in its regular catalogue for already five years, from 1972 to 1978, under the name Gigantes. This module, more commonly known as the Double Robusto, is very complex to produce. Only a handful of master Torcedores are qualified to make them. Actually, to this date, it is only produced for special productions.
This new regional edition is also an opportunity for Ramón Allones to reissue, once again, the brand's old embossed band. Introduced before the Cuban Revolution and then withdrawn in 1972, it had already been reissued in 2011 when the Ramón Allones, Allones Extra en Edición Limitada was released.
The production of the Ramón Allones 40 Carat is limited to 2,020 individually numbered cabinets of 40 cigars. This represents a total production of 80,800 cigars. While we are familiar with 20, 25 and 50-cigar cabinets, this is the first time we have seen a 40-cigar cabinet.
Each of them is distributed by Laguito 1492, the exclusive distributor of Habanos S.A. in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
