A commemorative humidor exclusively for La Casa del Habano!
In February 2019, during the XXI Festival del Habano, Habanos paid tribute to the Cuban capital on the occasion of its 500th anniversary. The San Cristóbal de la Habana brand, which was also celebrating its 20th anniversary, was naturally honoured at the welcome evening with the presentation of a new product: the San Cristóbal de la Habana 20 Aniversario.
Since its creation, San Cristóbal de la Habana has been one of the brands with the most exclusive cigars for La Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialist outlets: the Mercaderes, the Muralla, the Oficios, the Torreón (presented in a ceramic jar), the Prado and now the 20 Aniversario.
La Casa del Habano is a franchise of Habanos S.A. which to date has no less than 140 "Casas" around the world. The first one was inaugurated in 1990 in Cancún, Mexico. This international network of specialised stores exclusively distributes Habanos S.A. products. Some specialties, such as San Cristóbal de la Habana 20 Aniversario, are produced exclusively for these "Casas". These are the famous "LCDH" editions identifiable by their double band. In addition, new products are always available in preview.
The vitola chosen by San Cristóbal de la Habana to introduce this novelty is the Capuleto (52 x 162mm). More commonly known as the Double Robusto, this is a relatively rare vitola as, to date, no Habanos brand offers it in regular production. In fact, its only appearance dates back to 2013 with the release of the Romeo y Julieta De Luxe as an Edición Limitada.
The 20 Aniversario are arranged in a humidor with an original design, featuring an alternation of light and dark woods. The result looks like a pirate's treasure chest. Each humidor contains 20 cigars. To reinforce its exclusive character, the 20 Aniversario is dressed with a double band: the classic band of the brand and the "wine lees" band exclusively reserved for La Casa del Habano exclusivities, bearing the logo representing a tobacco leaf.
This San Cristóbal de la Habana novelty will immediately appeal to aficionados with its perfect construction and imposing look. The 20 Aniversario is perfectly in line with the brand's standards, with the characteristic, balanced and extremely aromatic flavours common to all San Cristóbal de la Habana vitolas.
