VegaFina Year of the Rabbit 2023
A new vitola in honor of the Chinese New Year 2023 under the sign of the Rabbit.
January 22, 2023, marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year placed under the sign of the Rabbit. For this occasion, many Cuban cigar brands such as Cohiba or Montecristo have presented unique limited edition Humidors offering vitolas specially designed to match the characteristics of this animal. Indeed, in Chinese astrology, the Rabbit is a sign of longevity, peace, love and prosperity. VegaFina, too, has not failed to reinforce its position as a cigar brand offering limited edition cigars for the Chinese zodiac calendar, the VegaFina Year of the Rabbit 2023.
It is an imposing Torpedo (50 x 152 mm) characterized by its pointed head. This cigar is dressed in a main ring stamped with the initials of the brand "VF" in red on a silver background, accompanied by a foot ring, which is decorated by a rabbit and a golden Chinese lettering on a red background. The VegaFina Year of the Rabbit is presented in a lacquered box with the same colors, red and gold. 16 cigars are arranged in two sections of 8, the number being considered lucky in Chinese culture. The worldwide production is limited to 8'000 individually numbered boxes.
These vitolas are composed of a Dominican and Nicaraguan blend, held together by a Dominican binder and an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper in a beautiful Colorado color. They are hand-rolled by the legendary Grupo de Maestros, a team of rollers with over 300 years of blending experience, at the Tabacalera de Garcia factory in La Romana, Dominican Republic. This construction offers a cigar with a medium strength profile, gradually evolving to a fuller profile.
Concerning the tasting, this cigar offers flavors of sweet cocoa, spicy pepper and notes of nuts and wood. Its dense and generous smoke delivers a multitude of complex flavors.
Just like the previous years, for the Year of the Dog, Pig, Rat, Buffalo and Tiger, VegaFina is celebrating the Lunar New Year with its brand new Year of the Rabbit 2023 vitola, which will delight aficionados and their sophisticated palates. So, we'll have to wait another year to find out what the brand has in store for the Year of the Dragon.
