La Flor de Cano Elegidos
A second vitola for the brand's regular catalogue!
Presented during the first edition of Habanos World Days, a virtual event replacing the Habanos Festival which was cancelled due to the global pandemic, the Elegidos from La Flor de Cano has just arrived in Switzerland.
The Elegidos is the second cigar in the brand's regular catalogue. It joins, almost 20 years after its introduction, the Petit Coronas (40 x 123 mm), dressed in a cedar leaf. Like it, the Elegidos is rolled "Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Corta" with leaves from the Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta. This rolling technique involves the use of pieces of tobacco leaf to make up the filler, rather than the whole leaf as is the case for cigars "con Tripa Larga" (Long Filler). The wrapper is affixed by hand in the traditional way.
The module chosen by Habanos to introduce this novelty is the Lirios. Belonging to the Robusto family, this vitola, with a length of 127 mm and a cepo of 50, is a first for both the brand and Habanos. Indeed, this format is not currently found in any other Habanos brand catalogue.
Barely longer than a Robustos (50 x 124 mm), the Elegidos is in line with the new trend of "short smokes", which are increasingly appreciated by aficionados because they offer a complex aromatic profile for a relatively short tasting time.
The Elegidos is available in boxes of 10 cigars. Like all the other cigars of the brand, it will delight aficionados looking for an aromatic taste, balanced with a medium strength for a short moment of enjoyment.
