Rafael González North Star Edición Regional Nordico Baltico 2017
One and the same band for two regions!
The Baltic and Nordic countries got a new regional edition! This is the first time that a regional edition is shared by these two regions of the globe. In this way, the North Star is both the first regional edition "Exclusivo Nordico Baltico", the second regional edition "Exclusivo Países Nórdicos" and the third regional edition "Exclusivo Báltico". Indeed, Punch Northern Lights was launched in 2009 for the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, and El Rey del Mundo’s Vikingos and Balthasar were released in 2007 in 2009 respectively for the Baltic countries: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The North Star is a Petit Robusto (50 x 102 mm) whose production is limited to 6'000 boxes of 10 units each and individually numbered. Each cigar is made "Totalmente a Mano with Tripa Larga" with leaves from Vuelta Abajo. Thus it enjoys a cape of milk chocolate color, both greasy and silky.
Before even lighting it, we can notice some notes of wood and hazelnut. The tasting starts on a beautiful touch of oak, followed by aromas of salty peanuts and freshly ground coffee. As the tasting continues, the North Star retains its notes of oak, adding delicate flavours of toasted bread and slightly toasted hazelnuts. The draw is very regular and presents a beautiful clear ash.
