On the ancestral lands of the Mizteken in Valles Centrales, Oaxaca, agaves grow for 8 to 12years to reach their ideal maturity in different parts of the dry, sunny valley.
To transform these magnificent agaves into mezcal, The Lost Explorer called on the highly respected Don Fortino Ramos, a mezcalero maestro with over 40 years' experience.
